Art works inspired by water

The students described and studied sculptures, paintings, or works of art (ceramics, woodcuts, embroidery) inspired by the water motif or the river / lake of their area. Also they created an electronic album, a virtual Art Gallery with the works of art that the students studied.

3rd mobility: MAKROCHORI / VERIA

The groups  visited the local archeological museum of Veria city where works of art about the river of the area are exhibited (eg ancient statue of the personified river Olganos, vases with representations of the river god).

Examining the material they studied in their country and the works they saw in local museum, students came to conclusions about common motifs, colors, shapes and they studied issues related to the history of visual arts. They created collages of the art works they compared and the conclusions they reached.

"The river that unites us"

 3rd mobility: MAKROCHORI / VERIA

The teams visited the river Aliakmon that passes near the city of Makrochori and the artificial lake nearby and studied the riverside flora. They carefully collected samples of the flora with which they created an herbarium.

The groups visited two cities nearby (Edessa and Pozar / Loutraki) where there are many tourist facilities next to river and waterfall.

The teams visited an hydroelectric plant along the Aliakmon river. They were informed by employees about the operation of the hydroelectric plant and its usefulness.
